After being awarded the Pritzker Prize, that was given to him by the US President Bill Clinton, the very famous American weekly magazine TIME reinforces the message by including him in the list of the 100 most influential men in the world in the art and entertainment field.

The ingenious architect compensates for the roughness with the smoothness of the materials: the essence of the high-tech style is all here and combines artistic sinuosity with the more resourceful available technologies. Dopo il Leone d’oro alla carriera ricevuto nel 2000, il 30 agosto 2013 Giorgio Napolitano, Presidente della Repubblica, lo nomina Senatore a vita. Oggi Renzo Piano non è soltanto la punta di diamante che inorgoglisce il Made in Italy: è un modello per tutti i ragazzi, gli architetti sognanti, le generazioni che hanno ancora il coraggio di inseguire la bellezza, e i ferventi sostenitori della cultura.

After being awarded the Golden Lion Prize for his career in 2000, on the 30th August 2013 Giorgio Napolitano, President of the Italian Republic, also nominates him senator for life. Today Renzo Piano is not only the spearhead that makes the “made in Italy” proud: he is an inspiration for many young people, the dreamy architects, the generations who still have the courage to pursue beauty and, also, the fervent supporters of culture.
